Wachovia has donated $10,000 toward the Back on My Feet Baltimore chapter's one-year birthday campaign.
“Because of its commitment to promoting self-sufficiency among homeless populations in so many great cities, it was easy for Wachovia, which is also committed to developing the communities in which it operates, to support the mission of Back on My Feet," said Anna Powell, the Community Affairs Manager in Wachovia's Social Responsibility Group. "We are proud to be able to help support such a growing, member-orientated organization.”
The generous gift marks the expansion of a relationship between Wachovia and the nonprofit that promotes self-sufficiency in homeless populations through running. The two will work both in Baltimore and in Washington D.C., where Back on My Feet has launched a new chapter.
Michael Willetts, Vice President of Baltimore Business Banking for Wachovia, and D.C.-based Sam Schreiber, Wachovia's Regional Executive for the Business Banking Division Manager in the Mid-Atlantic region, are on the BOMF advisory board in their respective cities.
